Ghulam Ghaus resigns as leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Council


Patna,(BiharTimes): The leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Council, Ghulam Ghaus, of Rashtriya Janata Dal resigned from his post on Tuesday.

The resignation came after the BJP became the principal opposition party in the Council after the split with Janata Dal (United). The BJP has 15 MLCs against seven of RJD.

Ghaus sent his resignation letter to Chairman of the Legislative Council. He is the third term MLC of the Council. Former chief minister Rabri Devi is also one of the members of the Upper House.

Ghaus said he decided to quit from the post on his own wisdom.
