Patna,(BiharTimes): National Human Rights Commission on Tuesday issued notices to Bihar and Rajasthan governments over alleged uterus removal scam conducted under the centrally-sponsored Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY).
The Commission has asked the Chief Secretaries of both the states to submit their reports in four weeks.
It needs to be recalled that the Commission took suo motu notice on media reports that large number of hysterectomies were being carried out on women who visited the hospitals for minor ailments in Samastipur, Nalanda and several other districts of Bihar and Dausa district in Rajasthan.
