Fodder scam ruling involving Lalu, Jagannath on July 15


Patna,(BiharTimes): A special CBI court in Ranchi on Thursday fixed July 15 as the date to pronounce its ruling on one of the multi-crore fodder scam cases involving two former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Prasad and Jagannath Mishra.

The CBI court asked the accused to furnish their written arguments and complete other formalities by July 1.

The case involved the illegal withdrawal of Rs 37.70 crore from the Chaibasa treasury.

The accused allegedly cheat the government in the purchase of fodder, medicines and other articles.
This is the first case of the five involving high-profile persons, which also include Janata Dal (United) MP from Jehanabad, Jagdish Sharma, six former IAS officers and 33 others.
