Congress may use JD(U), RJD like SP, BSP

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though Rashtriya Janata Dal is quite hopeful of exploiting the split in BJP and JD(U) the fact is that the party has lost the status of principal opposition party both in the state Assembly and Legislative Council.

It is now BJP leaders Nand Kishore Yadav and Sushil Kumar Modi who are leaders of opposition in Assembly and Council respectively. Earlier, these two posts were held by Abdul Bari Siddiqui and Ghulam Ghaus of RJD.

But more than losing these posts the RJD is concerned over the loss of Congress as an ally as the latter had thrown its weight behind Janata Dal (United).

However, many political observers are of the view that the Congress may not close the door on RJD as it is being made out in a section of the media.

The Congress, it is being felt, may follow the policy of Uttar Pradesh in Bihar. Though both Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party are bitterly opposed to each other yet they both support the UPA government at the Centre. So it may be that the Congress would try to keep both Janata Dal (United) and RJD in good humour to keep itself strong in New Delhi, even if these two outfits remain bitter rivals in the state.
