Girl from Bihar gets 52nd rank in Civil Services 2012

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): Deepa Agrawal of Begusarai, a Geography (Honours) from the local G D College, was among the successful girl candidates who cracked the Civil Services Exam 2012. She was placed 52nd.
Eldest of three daughters of Seema Agrawal, a homemaker, Deepa’s father died when she was quite young. He used to run an electronic spare parts shop. The only support came from her uncle.

She did her coaching from New Delhi. She got success in her third attempt.

Another one to qualify is Saagar Srivastava, who secured 291 rank in his first attempt. Incidentally, he achieved the goal while working full-time in the Investment Banking Division of Royal Bank of London at its London office.

According to his parent he flew from London to Patna just 4-5 days before the Preliminary Test. He took the Mains with about 10-12 days in hand.

His mother Nina Srivastava is a development activist while father Manoj Kumar Srivastava is a chief secretary-rank officer in Bihar cadre. He is presently Commissioner, Departmental Inquiry.
Saagar owes his success to mother and father.
