Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior Janata Dal (United) leader of Khagaria district, Ram Pratap Paswan, was shot dead by two motor-cycle borne criminals in the premises of Khagaria railway station on Saturday. Paswan was the district president of Mahadalit Cell of Janata Dal (United).

Supremacy between two groups is said to be the factor behind his killing. Police said that intra-party rivalry may have caused his death.

Paswan had in fact filed complaint to police regarding threat to his life.
