Sushil Modi comes to the rescue of Nitish on Kirti Azad episode

Patna,(BiharTimes): In a bid to play down the Nitish Kumar-Kirti Azad episode deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday came to the rescue of the former by stating that “I know Nitishji for quite a long period of time. He is not the kind of person to stop a people’s representative from airing his opinion.”

Talking to the media on the sidelines of his Janata Darbar deputy chief minister said Azad had already denied that he had described Nitish’s Seva Yatra as Helicopter Yatra as reported in a section of media.
He said the controversy had no basis and was quite uncalled for.

Earlier, his ministerial colleague, Chandra Mohan Rai, who is incharge of Darbhanga district and was present in the Saturday’s meeting expressed shock over the way Nitish asked Azad to keep quiet.

Though Azad has written to the party chief Rajnath Singh about the incident Modi said why should the party leadership come into the picture on the issue. There is no controversy whatsoever. The chapter should be closed.
