Azad complaints to Rajnath about Nitish as CM says he is making mountain out of molehill

Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as Darbhanga MP, Kirti Azad, has complained to the BJP president Rajnath Singh alleging that he was insulted and humiliated by Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar at an official meeting at Darbhanga on Saturday the latter said he is hurt over BJP MP Kirti Azad making a mountain of a molehill.

What is more, apart from Kirti Azad and Nitish others present on the occasion said that the latter was a bit rude in his behaviour. For example, the public health engineering department (PHED) minister Chandra Mohan Rai, who is minister in charge of Darbhanga district, and who was also present at the meeting said he too was shocked. The MP should have been allowed to present his point views. Rai, like Azad, is a BJP leader.

The chief minister, on the other hand, said he was deeply hurt when he saw Azad’s statements in the newspaper. “I’d simply told him he was not required to speak on water-logging in Darbhanga as I was already announcing a scheme to tackle it,” the chief minister said.

Nitish also said that Darbhanga BJP MLA anjay Saraogi had already drawn his attention to the problem. The truth is that well before Azad told the media and wrote to his party president a section of media did flash the news only hours after the incident on Saturday itself.

The chief minister went on to state that the JD(U)-BJP ties is intact. “I usually say that no one knows about the future. Our alliance is quite old, though we––JD(U) and BJP)––take up independent programmes.”

Nitish went on to explain that the people’s representatives are called to the meeting as a matter of courtesy and added that misbehaving with anybody was not part of his style of functioning.
