Muzaffar Ali welcomes govt’s initiatives in tourism sector

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): Welcoming the Bihar government’s initiatives film-makers Muzaffar Ali and Benoy Behl on Friday laid stress on the great potential for harnessing religious tourism in the state.

The duo are here to take part in two-day Bihar Calling: A Conference on Tourism, Heritage & Hospitality which got off on Friday.

Ali said that Bihar had rich heritage and there was tremendous scope to economically harness tourism. He gave emphasis on the need to expand scope of hospitality to tap more domestic and foreign tourists to the state.

Benoy Behl, who is a renowned Budhist scholar and film-maker, also expressed similar view.

Speaking on the occasion Bihar Tourism minister Sunil Kumar Pintu said that Bihar was the confluence of five great religions of the world––Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, Jainism and Buddhism. He said this is rare and not available in any other state of the country.
