Patna,(BiharTimes): In yet another incident of crime against minor girl a six-year-old girl hailing from the Mahadalit community was gang-raped by her own cousin and his friend at village Bhelwa under Warisaliganj police station in Nawada district on Wednesday.
The reports said that the alleged rapist, Chhotu and his friends are 14-year-old.
The FIR lodged by the victim’s mother with the Warisaliganj police station on Thursday, said Chhotu and his friend had lured the innocent girl a day earlier and after taking her away to a secluded place, both raped her.
Though there is pressure on the mother to suppress the matter by Chhotu’s father Shivan as well as other co-villagers, who even went to the extent of threatening her, she lodged the FIR. The girl was referred to sadar hospital for medical examination on Thursday.
Nawada witnessed another such incident of child rape last fortnight. On May 5, another six-year old, also a Mahadalit, was lured and raped by her neighbour, Karu Ravidas, at village Nepura under Warisaliganj police station. Again, on May 19, a seven-year-old girl's body was recovered from the outskirts of a nearby village Loharpura, seven km from Kadirganj police out post under Nawada town police station. The girl was suspected to have been sexually assaulted before her death.
