Patna,(BiharTimes): A group of women assembled outside the 15 Circular Road residence of former Bihar animal husbandry minister and BJP leader, Giriraj Singh, on Monday and strongly protested against his statement in which he equated Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar with dehati aurat (village woman).

Giriraj equated Nitish Kumar’s criticism of Narendra Modi with the behaviour of dehati aurat (village woman) and charged that he was quarrelling with his Gujarat counterpart out of ‘jealousy’.

They carried placards slamming the BJP leader for humiliating description of rural women.

Giriraj charged Bihar food minister Shyam Rajak for sponsoring the demonstration “at the behest of you know who”. He accused the police for doing nothing at the time of demonstration.

But Rajak denied his role and said it was spontaneous.
