How could live bombs be found in Gandhi Maidan three days after blasts

Patna,(BiharTimes): Union home ministry officials in New Delhi are surprised as to how could unexploded bombs be found hours after the Hunkar Rally at or around Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, then one day after, two days after and three days after the rally.

“Live bombs were found at the venue after the serial blasts. Live bombs were found a day after the blasts. Live bombs were found two days after the blasts and live bombs were found three days after the blasts," a home ministry official was quoted in the media as saying.

The recovery of so many live bombs is a commentary on the state of affairs in Bihar.

Officials said that Patna’s Gandhi Maidan is not too big a field which can not be scanned before a public meeting. Besides, now ––unlike in the past––it is much easier to undertake security measures because it has been properly fenced.
As reported the Union home ministry has already asked all states to ensure foolproof security for any visit by BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi.

The Centre has already upgraded his security by ensuring that an advance foolproof drill is held wherever he goes ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Thus Modi’s rally venues are sanitised the same way as is done for the SPG protectees like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani.
