Bihar Police denies Rajnath’s claim on cancelling of Hunkar Rally

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Ravindra Kumar on Sunday strongly refuted the BJP national president Rajnath Singh’s claim that officers of Bihar Police had requested party leaders to cancel the October 27 'Hunkar Rally' after the serial blasts at Patna railway station and in and around Gandhi Maidan.

Talking to the media he said: “We deny that our officials had approached any BJP leader with a request not to proceed to Gandhi Maidan to address the rally in view of the serial blasts at the venue on October 27.”
The ADG said: “We have found out from our officers the facts, on the basis of which we deny the claim that our officers had approached any BJP leader with a request not to proceed to Gandhi Maidan in view of the serial blasts.”

Earlier in an interview to India TV on Saturday Rajnath Singh had said that officials of Bihar Police had requested him and the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on October 27 not to address the rally.
