Retired DSP under NIA scanner

Patna,(BiharTimes): A  retired DSP of Bihar Police living in Jharkhand’s capital, Ranchi is under  the National Investigation Agency (NIA) scanner.

According to Jharkhand Police spokesman S N Pradhan he had no information officially about the  NIA sending notice to the DSP.

“The details of the notice are not available with me. I have not been officially communicated about the notice. But I have come to know about it unofficially,” Pradhan was quoted in the media.

Reports from Ranchi said that the DSP’s house in Ranchi was locked on Thursday morning. He is reportedly in the United States.

But a senior police officer of Jharkhand said the DSP was unlikely to be involved. “The relationship between him and suspected IM operatives is not yet known. It may be the DSP was not aware of what they were up to. It will be clear only after the sleuths talk to him,” the official was quoted in the Times of India.
