Upendra Kushwaha meets Lalu in jail as RJD gets another friend

Patna,(BiharTimes): In a significant political development the president of the  Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP), Upendra Kushwaha, met Rashtriya Janata Dal chief, Lalu Prasad, in Birsa Munda Jail in
Ranchi on Friday.

The move has alarmed the Bharatiya Janata Party as it was expecting that the RLSP would come close to the saffron party.

Kushwaha is a bitter opponent of chief minister Nitish Kumar, and was somewhat soft towards the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi. But the sudden change in his stand came as a big surprise as in the past he had always been critical of Lalu Prasad Yadav.

After his meeting with the RJD supremo he showered praise on Lalu and claimed that the Rashtriya Janata Dal would bounce back to power in Bihar and the Nitish’s government would collapse soon.

He said the development of downtrodden and weaker sections can not be imagined unless Bihar gets rid of Nitish Kumar’s misrule.

Kushwaha is considered as an influential leader of Koeri caste.

With both the Congress and now the RLSP showing sign of joining hands with Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi drawing huge crowd during his Parivartan Yatra it seems that the graph of RJD is going up.

As RLSP till recently was flirting with the BJP and the Congress, till a few weeks back, was soft towards Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) the change in stand in these two parties is being watch closely by
