Nitish Kumar may address Delhi voters

New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal-United leader Nitish Kumar is likely to address election meetings to mobilise support for his party in poll-bound Delhi.

Elections to the Delhi assembly will be held Dec 4.

"Nitishji is likely to visit Delhi Nov 30. He is expected to address public rallies on Dec 1 and 2, ahead of assembly elections here," a party functionary told IANS.

The party made its debut in the Delhi assembly elections in 2008, contesting from 11 seats. It, however, failed to win a single seat in 2008.

Kumar is likely to woo the sizeable number of Bihari voters in Delhi. The capital has over three million Purvanchalis - people from the east, a term used to refer to those who have migrated to Delhi from Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
