Giriraj says NaMo’s version of Bihar history is right, not Nitish’s

Patna,(BiharTimes): Almost a month after Narendra Modi’s Hunkar Rally speech and its rebuttal by the Bihar chief minister two days later the former animal husbandry minister and BJP leader, Giriraj Singh, said whatever his party’s prime ministerial candidate had said about the ancient Bihar was right and can be corroborated by books and other reference materials.

Talking to the media on Monday he went on to question the Chief Minister’s knowledge of history and general affairs and added that Nitish is living in mortal fear of Narendra Modi.

He said that Nitish gets nervous at the very mention of Narendra Modi and out of panic he starts speaking nonsense.

He once again held the state government responsible for the Patna serial blasts on the occasion of the Hunkar Rally.

While many other journalists and historians have disputed Narendra Modi’s version several BJP leaders defended him. However, Modi had in the recent weeks made several serious mistakes in his speeches. Once he even failed to name the Father of the Nation correctly. On another occasion he, almost throughout his speech, mixed up the name of Jan Sangh founder, Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, with other freedom fighter, who had died much before independence. Incidentally, Giriraj was to call the Press conference on Saturday but had to be cancelled at the eleventh hour and Sushil Modi addressed the media.
