Patna,(BiharTimes): Though Lalu Yadav was not an admirer of Anna Hazare––in fact he even criticized the fast undertaken by the crusader against corruption in 2011––Rashtriya Janata Dal workers and supporters are busy imitating him.

They are these days sporting caps with Mein Hoon Lalu inscribed on them reminding one of Mein Hoon Anna song composed and sung by Arvinder Singh during the fast in Delhi in August 2011.

Slogans like Mein Hoon Anna, Tu Hai Anna were quite popularized during those heydays of the movement against corruption.

RJD workers have adopted this method to express their solidarity towards the leader, Lalu Yadav, who ironically has been convicted by the CBI court in the fodder scam case.

This is a significant departure from the past. When Lalu was first arrested in 1997 thousands of his supporters took to streets of Patna between the court and Beur Central Jail in protest.

Incidentally, the CBI even sought the help of army though the investigative agency came under attack for this move.
But this time even the RJD leaders have reacted in a much matured manner.

Political observers are of the view that it seems that RJD rank and file have learnt a lot once they are out of power. They have realized that they could not achieve much with the help of brute street power.
