Governor’s Principal Secretary shifted soon after his return from Mumbai

Patna,(BiharTimes): In a sudden move the state government on Tuesday night transferred the Principal Secretary to Governor. Sudhir Kumar Rakesh, and made him the Director General of Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development. He replaced E L N S Bala Prasad, who will remain as Commissioner of Patna division. He has been holding two posts till now.

Brajesh Mehrotra, Principal Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department, would hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary to the Governor till further order.

Surprisingly, Rakesh was removed a day after he returned from Mumbai and after he got files signed by the Governor, D Y Patil, and issued advertisement inviting applications for the appointment of Vice Chancellors and Pro-Vice Chancellors through a Search Committee.

The lone transfer notification came as a big surprise in the official circle. Something somewhere had really gone wrong, was what the officials said.
