Nitish asks people to cooperate with each other in natural calamity-like situation

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday appealed to the people to cooperate with each other in the calamity like situation in Bihar.

Talking to the media after holding a high-level meeting with top officials and video-conferencing with the district magistrates and superintendents of police he said “I would appeal to the people to maintain peace and harmony in the state. Today is Vijay Dashmi and immersion would start,” the chief minister said.

He said the state government is keeping an eye on the situation emerging after the cyclone. The chief minister urged the people not to take shelter under the tree or go near electric poles.

Nitish assured all help to the affected people. He said all people, whose house collapsed would be compensated and said that strict vigil is being maintained on the embankments.

Meanwhile, a number of trees have been uprooted in Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park after high wind accompanied by heavy rain lashed Patna.
