Seven killed in landmine blast in Aurangabad district

 

. Patna,(BiharTimes): Seven people were killed when the Tata Safari in which they were travelling blew up in a landmine blast at a small bridge in Khudwan in the Aranda forest under Obra block of Aurangabad district on Thursday evening.
Police suspect that the explosion was triggerred by Maoists. The place of occurrence is 40 km from the district headquarters.
Among those killed in the incident included Sushil Pandey, the husband of Aurangabad district council member, Usha Devi. The police suspect that Pandey was on the hitlist of the Maoists.
According to the relatives of the victims the Maoists triggered the blast near Pathra crossing that comes under Khudwan police station.
Sushil Pandey is a former Ranveer Sena commander who had also been to jail for some time in connection with a murder case.
Others killed in the incident are Yogendra Pandey, Ram Subhash Pandey, Pappu Pandey, Manish Pandey, Ram Pravesh Pandey and Ram Vallabh Upadhyaya.
They were returning from Obra bazaar to their village Pishay.
