SC cancels Rupam Pathak’s bail 

Patna,(BiharTimes): The division bench of Justice A K Patnaik and Justice Jagdish Singh Khebar of the Supreme Court on Friday cancelled the bail granted by Patna high court to Rupam Pathak, who was convicted in the case of killing of the then sitting Purnia BJP MLA, Raj Kishore Kesri, on January 4,2011.
The apex court asked the lady principal to surrender before the special CBI court in Patna before November 30.

The Court, while hearing the petition moved by Kesri’s cousin Sudip Kesri cancelled the bail granted by Patna HC on January 8, 2013 to Rupam.

Earlier, hearing the petition of Sudip, SC had stayed the hearing of the appeal against her life imprisonment conviction in July 2013. The SC had issued notices to the CBI as well as Pathak.
