RJD to adopt flexible stand on seat adjustment, says Ram Kripal

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Rashtriya Janata Dal on Saturday said that it would adopt a flexible approach towards seat adjustments with secular parties to fight BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha election.

Talking to the media in Ranchi its general secretary Ram Kripal Yadav said since his party wants to maintain communal harmony in the country it appeal to all secular parties to join hands as 2014 elections are important in the face of communal challenge of BJP and RSS.

He claimed that the Sangh Parivar could not grow during Lalu-Rabri rule and went on to accuse the present Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of giving the Sangh Parivar full opportunity to expand its base by allying with BJP.

He said that his party the RJD had admitted after the 2009 Lok Sabha election that the failure of alliance with secular parties was a mistake.

It needs to be recalled that the talks with Congress had failed on the seat-sharing formula.

Ram Kripal, who is party’s in-charge for Jharkhand affairs, is in Ranchi to oversee the state unit’s executive committee meeting to be held on Friday.

He also met RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Birsa Mundal Central Jail.
