Job aspirants a worried lot as exams clash with Hunkar Rally

Patna,(BiharTimes): Thousands of candidates who are to appear for Staff Selection Commission, Railway Recruitment Board, Probationary Officers exam of banks and Bihar Combined Entrance Test conducted by Examination Council are worried lot as their exams fall on October 27, the Hunkar Rally day.
While SSC exams are held all over the country the railway exam is being conducted by East Central Railway at Patna, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga (in Bihar) and Dhanbad (in Jharkhand). About 1.77 lakh candidates are to take this exam in two shifts. The first shift will start from 10:00 AM while the second from 2:00 PM.
A large number of examinees are girls. Besides, there are some handicap candidates too. Reaching exam centres will be extremely difficult for them. Many of them will come from outside Patna and in the absence of auto and bus service they will have to simply walk to the exam centres.
The district magistrate of Patna, N Saravana Kumar, has advised aspirants to reach Patna a day earlier, that is on October 26. The problem is that on that day President Pranab Mukherjee is to pay a visit to Patna, which too may create some obstacles in the movement of traffic. But that would be cleared by evening.
Last year hundreds of candidates who were to appear for various competitive exam on Adhikar Rally day on November 4 could not reach their centres due to absence of transportation.
As competitive exams are usually held on Sunday it is the aspirants who suffer most when such rallies are organized on Sunday. The May 15 Parivartan Rally of RJD was held not on Sunday, therefore, the examinees were not affected. Incidentally, by then almost all the schools of Patna had declared their summer vacation.
