Modi to bring bullet-resistant SUV for own security

Patna,(BiharTimes): Following the Bihar government’s inability to part one of its two bullet-resistant SUVs for BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, the Gujarat government has decided to bring one such vehicle from Jhansi, where he addressed a public meeting on Friday evening.

Sources said the Bihar government has expressed its inability to meet such request for Gujarat chief minister’s three-hour stay to address Hunkar rally. Instead the Bihar government had offered a bullet-resistant Ambassador car, which the Gujarat government declined.

Reports quoting top Gujarat police officials indicated Modi’s preference for a bullet-proof SUV, rather than Ambassador.

According to top Bihar government sources Nitish is to undertake a two-day tour to Rajgir on October 28-29 where among other things Janata Dal (United) is holding its Chintan Shivir (brainstorming camp). But then Modi is to come a day before, that is, Oct 27.

Bihar has two bullet-resistant SUVs and 25 such Ambassador cars. However, both SUVs are part of the CM's cavalcade.
