Nitish to unveil Sardar Patel’s statue much ahead of Gujarat CM


Patna,(BiharTimes): When BJP is planning to build a huge iron statue of the first Home Minister of India in Gujarat Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is to unveil a life-size statue of Sardar Patel on the campus of Sardar Patel Memorial College in Biharsharif, the district headquarters of his home district, Nalanda, on September 7.
Apart from that he is likely to review the implementation of the ongoing welfare projects including MNREGA, Indira Awaas Yojana, Anganwadi centres and midday meal with district officials during his two-day visit to Nalanda beginningSeptember 6.
The chief minister will hold meetings with the new district magistrate Palka Sahni and superintendent of police Siddharth Mohan Jain on a number of issues, including implementation of development work in the district and also law and order. 
Reports said that Nitish will also visit his native village, Kalyanbigha, on September 6 in connection with some personal engagements. 
The chief minister will spend the night at Rajgir and is also expected to review the progress of the ongoing construction work of the police academy, Nalanda University and Makhdoom Kund, Bramh Kund etc.
