Decision on any alliance after Oct: Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday made it clear that his party, the Janata Dal (United), would not return to its former partner, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he did not disclose who would be its next partner.
True the party has very little option, yet he dropped some hint of the notional Third Front or Federal Front too.
Talking to the newsmen after Monday’s Janata Darbar he said “we will discuss about any possible coalition or alliance with anyone only after October next.”
He said any decision on whether to go alone or join hands with any political party or coalition would be taken after proper discussion within the party.
The chief minister said right now the party is busy in conducting meetings at Assembly constituency level, which will be over in next couple of weeks. After that, the JD (U) would begin workers meeting at Lok Sabha constituency and district level. Then, it would conduct a state level meeting and would contemplate on these electoral issues for the next parliamentary election.
On a question that JD (U) President Sharad Yadav favouring a tie up with the proposed Third Front, Nitish said, many ideas keep coming but a decision on elections would be taken after detailed discussion within the party.
Political observers are of the view that with Nitish himself tilting towards Congress and Sharad having soft corner for Third Front it would be interesting to see which side the party goes––or it opts for going alone.
