Murder, dacoity accused ruling JD(U) MLA surrenders after 13 years

According to the police the case was related to a loot of Rs Rs five lakh from the cash van of the Bareta branch of State Bank of India in Katihar district in 2000. The interceptors had shot at the Bank guard Dinesh Ram who died in the incident when he tried to foil the dacoity bid.

A case was registered in this regard and after the police investigation, the name of Bablu––who in 2005 and 2010 got Janata Dal (United) ticket and got elected to the state Assembly––figured in this connection.
