Former Union minister Dasai Choudhary joins BJP

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Union minister and Congress leader Dasai Choudhary on Wednesday joined BJP in the presence of senior partymen.

He and other Congress leader Sadhu Yadav had last month met Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and dropped enough hint of jumping on the saffron bandwagon.

Those present on the occasion included former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, leader of opposition in the state Assembly Nand Kishore Yadav, state BJP chief Mangal Pandey, former ministers Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Giriraj Singh and chief whip of the BJP legislature party in the state Assembly Arun Kumar Sinha.

Justifying his move Choudhary, who was minister in the Chandrashekar cabinet said, the country needs a strong prime minister to steer it through its critical phase. People want Narendra Modi as the country's prime minister.
