JD(U) to expel Purnamasi Ram, Nishad: action against another MP also likely

Patna,(BiharTimes): Without bothering for Most Backward Castes and Mahadalit votes the Janata Dal (United) is likely to expel its two rebellious MPs Purnamasi Ram and Captain Jai Narayan Nishad.

The former called chief minister Nitish Kumar Hitler on Wednesady while addressing a party workers meeting in Gopalganj, the SC reserved constituency, which he represents. He said so in the meeting attended by two Bihar ministers, Renu Kumari Kushwaha and Nitish Mishra and MLC Mahanachdra Prasad Singh.

Nishad, MP from Muzaffarpur, had recently met the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and had repeatedly called for his nomination as the prime ministerial candidate. Last year he even organized a Yagya at his New Delhi residence.

Another MP belonging to MBC category, Mangani Lal Mandal, the party MP from Jhanjharpur may also be thrown out of the party as he had been removed from the post of chief whip in Lok Sabha sometimes back. The party has virtually kept him out of party activities for the last three years.

State JD(U) chief Vashistha Naraian Singh on Thursday confirmed that Purnamasi Ram and Captain Nishad have crossed all limits and the party has been compelled to take action against them. He also said JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav has been informed about their activities.
