Nitish mocks at BJP for leaving its own iron man Lal Krishna Advani to rust

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar mocked at the Bharatiya Janata Party by stating that it had left its own ‘lauh purush’ (Iron Man) to rust and is instead busy collecting iron from all over the country to build the statue for Sardar Patel.
He was referring to Lal Krishna Advani, whom the BJP rank and file, till recently used to call Iron Man of India.
Nitish empathized with the former deputy Prime Minister and said that the saffron party would not gain by its decision to nominate the Gujarat chief minister as its prime ministerial candidate.
Nitish chose to pinch BJP, where it hurt it most, as Sardar Patel, who was first to be called as the Iron Man of India, was a top Congress leader, who as the first deputy prime minister and home minister of India banned the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh after the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Former external affairs minister, Jaswant Singh, who authored a book on Jinnah, also objected to BJP’s love for Sardar Patel as he was the man who banned RSS.
But at present the same BJP is busy collecting iron for building the tallest iron statue of the man in the world, who had cracked down on the saffron brigade immediately after independence.
Talking to the media after his weekly Janata Darbar at his residence chief minister Nitish Kumar said that there may be a joy within the BJP but not so among common people over the decision to elevate Narendra Modi.
Nitish accused the BJP of having failed to play the role of main opposition by exploiting the public sentiment against the Congress at the Centre.
He denied that JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav contradicted his stand by stating that the party would go alone and contest all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the coming election.
Sharad had said that as on date there is no talks with any party on alliance which is true, Nitish said, adding his party is busy in holding party rallies in all the 243 Assembly constituencies in the state and subsequently would organise similar rallies in 40 Lok Sabha seats till October after which the party would discuss about alliance or to go alone in the elections.
