But this Bihar minister backs Modi’s remarks on weak Indian leadership

Patna,(BiharTimes): When chief minister Nitish Kumar and his ministerial colleagues are busy attacking the Gujarat chief minister, Bihar’s Science and Technology Minister, Gautam Singh, made it clear that he agrees 100 per cent with Narendra Modi that the neighbouring countries are causing trouble on the border because of the weak leadership in New Delhi.
He said on Monday that the border trouble with Pakistan and China could only be solved by a strong leadership. However, he did not name anyone in this regard.
Gautam Singh, who had served in the Indian army, said that it was due to weak leadership that Pakistani forces beheaded Indian soldiers last January and China has repeatedly encroached into the Indian territory.
However, his support to Modi’s statement was welcomed by the state BJP president, Mangal Pandey, who said that the minister has at least dared to speak the truth.
The BJP leadership has started seeing something else in Singh’s statement. Even Pandey said that he is sure that the Janata Dal (United) would split the moment Nitish Kumar expands his cabinet.
But Gautam Singh, like his ministerial colleagues, Bhim Singh and Narendra Singh, were on line of fire for his remarks made after the killing of five Indian soldiers, four of them from Bihar, in Poonch sector on August 6.
As he did not attend the funeral of two of the martyred soldiers, who incidentally were from his home district, Saran, the villagers of one of them (Premnath Singh) gheroed him and made him hostage for several hours.
He latter said Kya fark padta hai (What difference does it make)? if he could not attend the last rites.
However, he later told the media that he could not attend the funeral as he had to go to New Delhi for the treatment of his brother and that latter he met the family members of both
