JD(U), RJD flay Amit Shah’s proposed visit to Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): As the BJP gears up to welcome party’s incharge of UP, Amit Shah, on Sep 21 the ruling Janata Dal (United) and Rashtriya Janata Dal have criticized the trip on the plea that it is being undertaken to vitiate the atmosphere of the state.
Shah would be here to attend the birth anniversary of former chief minister Bhola Paswan Shashtri, who ironically has nothing to do with the saffron party. Shashtri was from the Indian National Congress (Organization), the faction which broke away from the Indian National Congress in 1969. So like Sardar Patel, the BJP is projecting another former Congress leader to achieve its own objective.
Though the BJP wants to woo the Paswans, the only Dalit sub-caste left from the list of Mahadalits formed by the Bihar government, the purpose of Shah’s visit it to prepare the ground for October 27’s Hunkar Rally, in which party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is likely to be the main attraction.
According to JD(U) state president Vashishtha Narayan Singh Amit Shah is a controversial person and as per reports prepared by Uttar Pradesh, he was behind the Muzaffarnagar violence. The government must keep a watch on the activities and movement of people like him.
Speaking almost on the same tone RJD general secretary Ram Kripal Yadav said the BJP and the RSS wanted to communalise the atmosphere before the 2014 elections. The government should take steps to stop such elements from entering Bihar.
