Bihar govt recommends CBI probe into missing Muzaffarpur girl case

Patna,(BiharTimes): A few days after accepting the family demand and exactly a year after her kidnapping the Bihar government on Wednesday finally recommended a CBI probe into the case involving 12 year old Narruna.
Navruna, a class-VII student of St Xavier’s Public School in Muzaffarpur had gone missing from her house located in Ghirnipokhar locality under Town police station area on September 18 last year.
Her mother and sister met the chief minister Nitish Kumar during a Janata Darbar earlier this month and he had assured them of the CBI inquiry.
The Home department through a notification sent a request to the CBI to take over the case for probe.
Earlier, the state government had ordered a CID probe in the matter, but no
headway in the probe could be made.
Navruna’s family has also petitioned the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and the Union Home Ministry demanding a CBI probe into the missing case.
