Patna,(BiharTimes): Hitting out at the media barons the Janata Dal (United) President Sharad Yadav has batted for journalists and strongly disapproved the present trend of the owners becoming editors.
Talking to the media he came down heavily on the media for giving more space to the Bharatiya Janata Party for obvious reasons.
Sharad said only journalists should become editors and have a say in news content in print and electronic media so that they can do justice and not get lured by advertisements.
He said he would raise his voice in the Lok Sabha to end the contract system in print and electronic media for journalists who would become regular employees, and thus work independently.
Sharad was upset at the massive ad-blitz and the amount spent on them by the BJP.
