Bihar gears up to decide the fate of Sharad, Siddiqui, Kirti Azad

Patna,(BiharTimes): As seven parliamentary constituencies of north Bihar go to poll on April 30 what is significant is that these seats would, among others, decide the fate of five prominent Muslim leaders of the state. This is so notwithstanding the fact that Muslim voters are numerically not as strong as four of the five seats of Seemanchal.
The constituencies which go to poll are: Jhanjharpur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Begusarai, Samastipur, Madhepura and Khagaria.
Those in the fray are leader of RJD in Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui from Madhubani, former Union minister of HRD, M A A Fatmi of RJD from Darbhanga, former leader of RJD in state Legislative Council, Ghulam Ghouse, of Janata Dal (United) from Madhubani, former Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee chief, Chaudhary Mahboob Ali Qaiser from Lok Janshakti Party from Khagaria and Tanvir Hasan of RJD from Begusarai.
Incidentally, while the JD(U) gave ticket to three Muslims, who broke away from RJD––Akhtar-ul-Iman (Kishanganj), Ghulam Ghouse and Abu Qaiser (Bhagalpur)––it could not accommodate its lone sitting Muslim MP, Monazir Hasan. The latter was MP from Begusarai, but this time the seat has gone to the CPI because the party has an alliance with it.
Ironically the party could not give ticket to Monazir from any other place though it para-dropped Ghulam Ghouse from Patna to Madhubani.
The April 30 election would also decide the fate of JD(U) chief, Sharad Yadav and RJD strongman, Pappu Yadav from Madhepura, BJP’s Hukum Deo Narayan Yadav from Madhubani, cricketer-turned politician, Kirti Azad and JD(U) leader, Sanjay Jha, both from Darbhanga, JD(U) leader and sitting MP, Dinesh Chandra Yadav from Khagari, BJP MP Bhola Singh and CPI leader Rajendra Singh from Begusarai, RJD candidate and former JD(U) MP, Mangani Lal Mandal from Jhanjharpur and JD(U) candidate and former Union minister, Devendra Prasad Yadav, also from Jhanjharpur.
