Bihar legislators can now take attendant while travelling by air

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The state cabinet on Tuesday okayed a proposal allowing both the sitting as well as former MLAs and MLCs to take one attendant with them in air travel.

Besides, one extra attendant would now be allowed in train journey.

As per the new provisions the sitting legislators would now be allowed to take four attendants in rail journey instead of three. Former legislators can now travel with three attendants in place of two.

However, the existing annual limit for a legislator travel has remained unchanged. The sitting legislator gets Rs two lakh per year as travelling allowance while former Rs one lakh annually.
