We expected to win six seats, says Sushil Modi

Patna,(BiharTimes): The leader of opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council, Sushil Kumar Modi, said on Monday that “the by-poll results were not as per our expectation. We expected to win six seats. However, we accept this mandate. In politics such ups and downs do take place. These are by-polls and local issues dominate them. They do not decide the fate of any government and have nothing to do with the making and unmaking of any government.”
The former deputy chief minister said it was just a small victory for the opposition and added that just for the sake of two seats Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar had to make a big compromise and join hands with Lalu Prasad Yadav.
He said that by-elections can not be equated with the Assembly poll for the entire state, which is due next year.
Other BJP leaders also spoke in the same vein.
Unlike in RJD and JD(U) offices in Patna the BJP office on the same Beer Chand Patel Marg of the state capital wore a deserted look.
