Bhola Yadav files nomination for the Council seat

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Rashtriya Janata Dal on Thursday fielded Bhola Yadav, the private secretary of Lalu Prasad Yadav, for the Bihar Legislative Council.
Bhola filed his nomination papers in the presence of several RJD and JD(U) leaders and ministers.
The seat had got vacant after Ghulam Ghouse quit the party to contest the Lok Sabha election on Janata Dal (United) ticket from Madhubani parliamentary seat. However, he lost it.
Earlier, Lalu Prasad Yadav, who underwent heart surgery in Mumbai on Wednesday, gave his nod to Bhola’s name.
Bhola had also served as private secretary to Rabri Devi, when she was Leader of the Opposition in the State legislature.
Lalu’s other private secretary Vinod Srivastava had unsuccessfully contested Lok Sabha election in May 2014 as the RJD candidate from East Champaran, He lost to BJP’s Radha Mohan Singh, the present Union Agriculture Minister.
Srivastava had made an unsuccessful electoral debut in 2010 too when he contested Bihar Assembly elections, but was defeated by BJP’s Nitin Navin from Bankipur seat in Patna.
Bhola is likely to have an easy sail as the Janata Dal (United) and Congress would be supporting him.
