RJD holds sit-in to expose NaMo’s ‘false promises’

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Rashtriya Janata Dal on Thursday  staged a “maha-dharna” (mega sit-in) in Patna to expose the  failure of the Narendra Modi government in the last six  months.

The sit-in was supposed to be led by its supremo, Lalu Prasad  Yadav, but he could not turn up as he had to attend the  meeting of leaders of five parties of Janata Parivar in New  Delhi.

The sit-in call was given to expose the failure of the NDA  government to bring back black money and expose its false  promises made to the youths, farmers and other people by the  present prime minister during the election campaign.

Apart from the state party chief, Ram Chandra Purvey, former  Union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, Raghunath Jha, Bhola  Yadav etc also attended the sit-in.

However, Lalu Prasad’s son, Tej Pratap, was present on the  occasion so was the Madhepura MP, Pappu Yadav. The sit-in witnessed a slanging match between the supporters  of Tej Pratap and Pappu Yadav. The latter was compelled to  abruptly end his speech as it was repeatedly disrupted by  some people, alleged to be the supporters of Tej.

Speaking on the occasion Purvey highlighted the doublespeaks  of the BJP on all the important issues. He said jobs have  vanished, prices are rising and the people are yet waiting  for Rs 15-20 lakh from the new government as promised before  the polls.
