Four women among eight Maoists arrested

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The Muzaffarpur police on Tuesday arrested eight alleged Maoists, including four women, from a government high school in Turki village of the district. Six detonators, a pistol, some ammunition and Maoists’ literature were recovered from them.


According to SSP, Muzaffarpur, Ranjit Kumar Mishra, the Maoists had gathered in a government high school at Turki and were planning to attack persons who had not paid levy as demanded by their organization.


He said the police got a tip-off about it from intelligence sources and laid a trap to nab them. Those arrested have been identified as Puja Devi, Kalawati Devi, Bharti Devi, Aaarti Devi, Lalan Rai, Ganesh Rai, Rampravesh Rai, and Dinesh Rai. They come from different villages of Muzaffarpur district.
