Congress, RJD flay Nitish for taking credit for implementation of NFSA in Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and BJP have taken strong exception to the Nitish Kumar government taking credit for the implementation of National Food Security Act in Bihar.

While inaugurating the scheme at Barah village of Punpun block of Masauri sub-division of Patna district through remote control the chief minister on Saturday claimed credit for the enactment of the Act. He said that his government had made important suggestions in this regard.

In a statement Prem Chand Mishra, the state media cell incharge of the Congress party, said that it is wrong for the Nitish Kumar government to take credit as the NFSA is the outcome of of his party chief Sonia Gandhi’s effort.

How can the state government forget that the Centre is giving 56 lakh tonnes of foodgrains to Bihar for this purpose? He should say it is the central government scheme being implemented by the state government. Nitish should instead do his level best to stop leakages in the central government schemes.

RJD general secretary Ram Kripal Yadav also wondered as to how can Nitish Kumar take credit for the centrally-sponsored scheme. He is in the habit of taking all the credit for the central government schemes and this time too he is doing the same, when there is absolutely no scope whatsoever for it.

The BJP also criticized chief minister Nitish Kumar for indulging in cheap popularity.

However, the state food minister, Shyam Rajak, said that why not the state government would take credit when it is providing all infrastructure and godwons and spending Rs 800 crore on the scheme.
