JD(U) state chief urges Parween to withdraw resignation

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state unit chief of Janata Dal (United), Bashistha Narayan Singh, on Tuesday urged Parween Amanullah to withdraw her resignation from the post of Social Welfare minister. She has also quit from the primary membership of the party.

In a statement he said that “I, as the state party chief, personally feel that she should withdraw her resignation and sit down and discuss all the issues. We would certainly discuss the issue raised by her. As the state party president I would appeal to her to take back her resignation letter.”

He said he would not make any comment on the government but would certainly discuss the issue raised by her.

Meanwhile, leader of RJD in the state Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, said that this is her personal decision. She was fighting for the change of system, but she suffered a setback.

Siddiqui said as she had failed she had resigned from the cabinet. This can be measured from her reaction that she could not do the work she wanted to do in six months in over three years as the minister, he added.
