BSP leader joins JD(U), may contest LS poll from Buxar

Patna,(BiharTimes): A senior leader of Bahujan Samaj Party, Shyam Lal Kushwaha, on Friday joined the Janata Dal (United) in Patna.

Kushwaha had unsuccessfully contested the Buxar parliamentary seat in 2009 on BSP ticket.

Earlier, he was with the BJP and the Samata Party. The JD(U) was likely to give him ticket for the Buxar parliamentary seat as he enjoys some influence there.

Buxar is represented in the Lok Sabha by Jagdanand Singh of RJD and the Janata Dal (United) earlier wanted the outgoing Rajya Sabha MP, Shivanand Tiwary, to contest the Lok Sabha poll from there. But he declined the offer.
