Nitish blames media for venue row as Muzaffarpur DM allots MIT ground to BJP

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar said that the media is giving too much importance to Narendra Modi’s rally and also creating controversy over the allotment of grounds to the BJP and RJD to hold rallies at Muzaffarpur on March 3 there.

Talking to the media after his arrival from New Delhi, where he had informal talks on the proposed Third Front, he said “this is not my business. It is the work of district magistrate. Those who had applied first would naturally be allotted the venue,” he said adding that those who are trying to create controversy would not succeed.

Commenting on the media hype to Narendra Modi’s proposed March 3 rally he said “when we held Sankalp rally there the media did not highlight. Now everyone is talking about the rally which is about to take place.”

Meanwhile, the district administration of Muzaffarpur on Tuesday allotted the MIT ground to the BJP.
Now the RJD would get either the police line ground or Awasiya field.

On February 8 the BJP applied for the MIT ground, the police lines field and the Awasiya field. All the three are next to each other.

On the other hand, while reacting to the RJD’s plan to hold parallel rally in two nearby grounds, the BJP leader Giriraj Singh claimed that all the RJD supporters would come over to Narendra Modi’s rally.
