Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday questioned the claim of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, that he used to sell tea when he was a young boy.
Talking to the media he said that it is in fact “I used to sell tea, when I was a boy and live in the peon quarter of Veterinary College, where my brother was an employee.”
Lalu said that his brothers had a tea-stall there and he used to work in it but “I never made any such claim. You can go and see traces of tea-stall still there in Veterinary College,” he told the journalists.
Rubbishing the claim of Narendra Modi he asked how all out of sudden Narendra Modi became a “chai-wallah”. Why was this fact not known till now, when he was in the public life for so long?
The RJD chief said that the Gujarat chief minister never sold tea, in fact he is a merchant of blood.
His remarks came on the day when Narendra Modi is to address tea-vendors across the country, including Bihar.
