Nitish blasts media for giving undue coverage to NaMo

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday came down heavily on the media for giving undue coverage to BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi.

Addressing the Sankalp rally in Begusarai he said that those who have done so much to develop the backward state like Bihar is not getting due publicity, but those who have done a little bit for the already developed state is getting so much credit.

He said that since “we are poor and do not have photogenic faces we do not get due coverage.”

He accused the media of ignoring the poor and backward regions and people of the country.

The chief minister’s comment came when the photographers were taking snaps while he rose to speak in Begusarai. This is not the first time he had criticized the media in the recent days.

He also repeated his attack on the BJP as well as Congress and reiterated his demand for the special category status for Bihar.

Meanwhile, the BJP leader and former minister, Giriraj Singh, took strong exception to Nitish Kumar’s remarks that Narendra Modi has become darling of the media.

He said the word darling does not behove the chief minister and added Nitishji has come in Valentine Day mode and is using such expressions.

The chief minister had reportedly used the word darling on Tuesday.

While giving his reaction to media Lalu Prasad said,” Nitish ne media ka nash kar diya and now he says that he is no more darling of the media.”
