Dipankar calls Nitish a dictator, but bats for Third Front

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though he describing the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar a dictator yet CPI(M-L) national general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya called upon the Left parties to gauge the public mood and take initiative to form a Third Front ahead of the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a rally at Gopalganj he said the people are fed up with the system and anti-people policies of the Manmohan Singh government which has plunged the country in a deep crisis.

He said there is need for a genuine political alternative to the BJP and Congress-led coalitions at the national level. Such a front must be worked out on the basis of policies and not on the issue of leadership.

He blamed the Centre for corruption, price rise, inflation and plunge in economic growth rate. He alleged that the corporates and big industrial houses were dictating terms to the government.

Dipankar said that the BJP also follow the same similar economic and foreign policies and charged the saffron party with destroying the secular fabric of the country.

He said Nitish Kumar was trying to ensure survival of his government when the people of Bihar were suffering due to misrule of his government. He also blamed the state government for the acquittal by court of Dalits massacred by the Ranvir Sena men.

It is because of this reason that the CPI ML is not joining hands with the JD(U) as other two Left parties.
