Nitish threatens to sue mediahouses highlighting pre-poll surveys

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday threatened that he would file case after the election against the mediahouses who carried the story of pre-poll surveys, which project big BJP victory in the country as well as Bihar.

He rejected the latest pre-poll survey, which said that the BJP-led alliance would win 227 seats in the coming Lok Sabha election. In Bihar the survey said that while the BJP would win 21, the RJD is likely to win 12, the ruling Janata Dal (United) five and Congress and LJP one seat each.

Dubbing the BJP’s euphoria as wishful thinking (khayali pulao) he said these pre-poll surveys are like the long walk by a person, who makes assessment from time to time as to how much distance he has covered. Through these series of surveys the BJP is calculating that the post of prime ministership is only some distance away now.

He said the BJP people are living in their own world far away from reality.

Nitish predicted big loss to Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. But the BJP would also be greatly dismayed, he said.
