Sohail Hingora case :Ransom Paid in JD(U) leader’s house, says Nand Kishore Yadav

Patna,(BiharTimes): The leader of opposition in the state Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, said on Monday that the ransom amount for the release of Sohail Hingora, son of an industrialist of Gujarat, was paid in the house of a senior Janata Dal (United) leader in Patna. He read out the CID report in the assembly and asked govt. to come clear on the issue. "This speaks enough how organised crimes are taking place in the state" added Yadav

Attacking the Nitish Kumar government he said that the chief minister should make public the letter the outgoing social welfare minister, Parween Amanullah, wrote to him at the time of leaving his cabinet as well as the Janata Dal (United). The content of the letter should come to the public domain, he said.

Pointing out to the chief minister he rather teasingly asked as to “what have you done to the MLAs Fund. The legislators can now do nothing. Let them serve the people. Now you are coming back to the track.” While he was speaking one of the ministers intervene to say that “you were in the cabinet when the decision in this regard was taken. You did not oppose it” Upon this he said: “We opposed it.”

He said the state government is taking credit for implementing Food Security Act. The Bihar government is giving rice to the poor at the rate of Rs three per kilo while the Chhattisgarh government is giving at Rs one per kilogramme. This is so when Bihar has more poor, he added.

Attacking the new power policy he questioned the dictatorial manner in which the electric connection of the entire locality is cut when even four consumers do not pay the bill. Similarly in the village the power supply of the entire village is disconnected when two consumers do not pay the bill. “Take any action against those who do not pay the bill, Hang them. But how can you disconnect the line of the entire village or locality for the fault of a couple of persons,” the minister thundered.

While Nand Kishore was delivering his speech the chief minister left the House.

He said in Bihar anyone who raise the genuine demands of pay or job confirmation are dealt with the lathis. He expressed dismay over the delay in BPSC exam and called upon the state government to raise the age from 35 to 40.

He said that the governance had deteriorated ever since the BJP left the alliance eight months back. This is simply because the chief minister is holding 18 portfolios. What will happen to the state if this situation prevails for some more time.

The BJP leader said that these days the chief minister is reading the course books published in Gujarat and was pointing out mistakes but not about the course books in Bihar which carried so many mistakes. Even a committee was set up in this regard, but nothing had happened.
